Sr. Systems Administrator

The Sr. Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, related infrastructure as well as cloud environment. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational/Cybersecurity requirements and policies. The pay range is $80,000 to $120,000 per year; the pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Will assist in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various systems to include workstations, servers, network equipment, cloud services, Office365, Azure, and software applications.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance and procedures for all Cybersecurity compliance requirements.
  • Make recommendations for new equipment and services.
  • Perform on-site technical support.
  • Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
  • Maintains excellent communication with the Director of MIS on all tasks and projects.
  • Creates and maintains good technical documentation.
  • Keeps area clean according to 5S standards.
  • Follows all safety rules as set by the company.

Requirements

A Degree in Information Systems from four-year college or university; seven years related experience. Microsoft Certification programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of user support, help desk operations, business systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of Windows Server (2012-2019), vmWare, VLANs, routing protocols, various networking switches/equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Azure, Office365, and Cisco/Meraki networking switches/equipment
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Creativity, innovativeness and ability to suggest alternatives to problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills.es.
