Valve Types
Brake Metering Valves
Brake metering valves port system pressure to the aircraft brakes based on manual handle input for both primary and emergency braking. These aircraft hydraulic pressure control valves regulate braking force and set park brake pressure in the fully actuated position with minimal leakage.
Fuses
Hydraulic fuses are aerospace auxiliary hydraulic valves designed to shut fluid flow off when a hydraulic line fails. These aerospace self-setting valves protect essential hydraulic capabilities and reduce the potential for system pressure loss and fire hazards.
Priority Valves
Priority valves are high-pressure aerospace flow regulating valves that direct hydraulic flow to critical subsystems regardless of downstream pressure conditions. Also referred to in some configurations as balanced relief valves, they ensure availability of essential aircraft systems during peak demand.
Shuttle Valves
Shuttle valves are hydromechanical aerospace flow control valves that allow two independent hydraulic sources to supply downstream components. These aircraft flow control valves maintain separation between pressure sources, increasing system reliability and redundancy.
