Manufacturing Manager (Assembly and Test)

We are looking for a manager with hydraulics and aerospace experience. The Manufacturing Managers for Assembly and Test are responsible for the operational and fiscal activities of the department. The managers will oversees the productions of the assembly/test departments. The manager must plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department. The pay range is $110,000 to $130,000. The actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include staffing level, forecast achievement/reliability, and budget requirements.
  • Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
  • Analyze and document business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
  • Drive productivity and operational cost reduction throughout the department.
  • Supervise employees in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct interviews, help in hiring, and provide employee orientation.
  • Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews. Drive daily accountability.
  • Responsible for scheduling work assignments, employee training, employee vacations and overtime assignment.
  • Assist Human Resources with employee issues.
  • Schedule and conduct department meetings.
  • Communicate with all Supervisors and Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment, aerospace preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and experience with MRP system.
  • Knowledge of management and supervisory principles.
  • Positive attitude and strong leadership skills to drive high-performance teams.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Hydraulics and aerospace experience a plus.
