HR Generalist

The HR Generalist is responsible for the full scope of accurate and timely, beginning-to-end, weekly payroll processing for the company. Manage processes for onboarding new hires into ADP Workforce, enters personnel changes, completes background checks and employment verifications, maintains employee files and supports HR with maintaining policies, benefits and other administrative duties as needed.

The pay range is $26 to $33 per hour; the pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides payroll processing including inputting data into timekeeping system, payroll system and maintaining employee timesheets.
  • Complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), worker compensation and so forth.
  • Assists with employee communication and feedback through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, and Intranet use.
  • Maintains a human resources system that meets management information needs.
  • Assist and/or represents the company at personnel related hearings and investigations.
  • Assist with the preparation of legally required government reports.

Requirements:

  • An BS Degree in Business Administration or related field or a AA Degree in Business
  • Administration or related field with 4 years’ experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in payroll (company uses ADP Vantage).
  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, employee relations, safety, and training.
  • Above average oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and other Human Resources programs.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
