A machinist will produce machined parts by setting up and operating mills; maintains quality and safety standards; keeps records; and maintains the equipment. The pay range is $22 to $30 per hour; the pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations; job-related knowledge and sills, education, and experience. The second shift has a 5% shift differential.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and run 4-axis vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, process sheets and work instructions to determine specifications and machining to be done.
- Loads control media in machine controller or enter commands to retrieve programs from file server. Makes minor edits to programs.
- Performs own inpection utilizing precision measurement instruments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years minimum experience working as a CNC Machinist.
- Proficient in the use of inspection tools (calipers, mics, and gauges)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and travelers.
- Well organized; detailed oriented; strong work ethics and ability to self motivate.
