Machinist will produce machined parts by setting up and operating lathes; maintains quality and safety standards; keeps records; and maintains the equipment. The pay range is $22.00 to $32.00 per hour; the pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and run 2 and 3 axis CNC turning centers.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, process sheets and work instructions to determine tooling requirements, set-up procedures, dimensional specifications and machining to be done.
- Loads control media in maching controller or enter commands to retrieve programs from file server. Makes minor edits to programs.
- Performs own inspection utilizing precision measurement instruments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years minimum experience working as a CNC Machinist – Lathe.
- Proficient in the use of inspection tools (calipers, mics, and gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and travelers.
- Well organized; detailed oriented; strong work ethics and ability to self motivate.
